Arrival in Moscow

Well here we are - safe and sound at the Marriott. All of our luggage arrived as well
(wet from the torrential downpours at the Pgh & JFK airports) and it is good that they arrived since 4 out of the 5 bags were tagged as OVER WEIGHT. What can I say....I have a lot of things. You should have seen Jim and I navigating the push carts through the obstacle course of people and cars from the airport to our cab. We were quite a site and have to admit that we only had one accident where Jim dented the side of our cab - our driver was less than pleased.

I immediately started to talk to our driver in Russian - I said Savoidnia Jarka (today's hot) he just grunted and our conversation was over....so yes Cathe - I read your comment - I do know a few other words than das ve danya......but no one has wanted to talk to me in Russian yet?!

Jim just got back from the store - he thought he bought still water but instead bought sparkling water......I can only imagine what we are going to do at the grocery store when we have to buy food......I think we will both be shedding a few pounds these next couple of years....

Tomorrow we meet with our realtor, Elena.....

Hey Jim and Carrie, Glad you've made it safely to Moscow. Hum...sparkling water? Must be some cocktail where that can be used. Good luck on the apartment search. Guest room should have a nice view of the city. lol Miss you guys. Take care.
